  For wildlife like polar bears and caribou, for local communities and Alaska Natives, and for future generations, Alaska Wilderness League strives to protect Alaska's most significant wild land from oil and gas drilling and other industrial threats. Currently, Alaska Wilderness League is working to protect the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge, the Tongass National Forest, Special Areas of the National Petroleum Reserve - Alaska, and the Beaufort and Chukchi Seas.

North Star News

A Benefit for Members
We invite you to download past issues of Alaska Wilderness League News (now called North Star News), our bimonthly newsletter for members. These issues contains the latest information on the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge, western Arctic, the Tongass National Forest and Chugach National Forest.
