The League’s Andy Moderow Discusses The Future Of The Arctic Refuge

Recently Andy Moderow, the League’s Alaska Director, was invited by Alaska Public Media to come on and discuss the future of the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge.

Opening the coastal plain of the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge to oil development has been a dream of Alaska’s congressional delegation for decades, but for the Gwitch’in people and those that care about the conservation of our public lands, the idea is a nightmare. The Bureau of Land Management plans a lease sale there this year. How will that unfold and what’s at stake? Andy joined host Lori Townsend to discuss on Alaska Public Media’s “Talk of Alaska.”

HOST: Lori Townsend
GUESTS:

  • Andy Moderow, Alaska Director of Alaska Wilderness League
  • Liz Ruskin, Washington D.C. reporter for Alaska Public Media
  • Rebecca Logan, CEO of Alaska Support Industry Alliance
